Len Wein at the Canadian Fan Expo

Comic Con maybe long over, but the Canadian Fan Expo has only just come to a close. Writer and Artist Len Wein creator of characters like Christopher Chance, Swamp Thing and Wolverine was in Toronto meeting his fans and answering questions.

One of the questions was how do aspiring young writers land a job at DC. To which Len was not quite sure,

"'When I was a kid, DC would have a tour of the offices on Thursdays." Taking the tour frequently with his friends - the aforementioned Marv Wolfman and others - people at DC got to know them. Wein was eventually able to transform that recognition into filling the role of an unpaid intern. Today, however, DC doesn't have that tour, nor is it preferred for the artists and writers to be local, as it was in those days."

As to what Len has planed for the future he states, "In theory I'm supposed to be writing for [the upcoming] 'Human Target' show." We hope he does.
