Jackie Earle Haley seems to be no stranger to the graphic novel. First brining the roll of Rorschach to life in "Watchmen" and now taking on the roll of Guerrero in Human Target. MTV news had a chance to ask Haley about his parts in the comic adaptations.

While Haley acknowledged that his role in the upcoming "Human Target" television series (based on the DC Comics series of the same name) is a new character, he said his presence in two properties making the jump from print to screen is only "somewhat of a coincidence."

"In working on 'Watchmen,' I feel like I'm starting to understand that Comic-Con world," Haley told MTV News. "The way people get into movies and television shows -- it's just awesome. I recently saw 'Star Trek,' and I had a nerdgasm watching it. It was just so cool."

Haley admitted that he wasn't aware of the "Human Target" comics before taking the gig, but definitely has the adventures of the series main character, Christopher Chance, on his radar now.

Reporters asked Jackie Earle Haley on the Chicago set of Nightmare on Elm Street if he was nervous about starting his new roll as Guerrero in the upcoming Fox show Human Target. Haley replied, as reported by scifiwire

"A little bit, from the standpoint that it kind of takes me out of the game. But it takes me out of the game by being in the game."

Haley said he was looking forward to the challenge of acting on an ongoing basis. "The TV series, I'm really excited about that," Haley said. "It should be a real fun kind of throwback to '80s action films, like Die Hard and stuff, and kind of the weekly action show of the week."

What about his character? "What's cool about it is that it's a different type of character," he said. "And I'm also kind of really looking forward to acting every day for a period. I think it might [help] as an actor to grow, and a way to become a better actor is to work in that environment and to work every day for months. It could be a really good experience as an actor."
